Housekeeper

First Baptist Jackson (FBJ) is looking for two (2) ministry-focused, Christ-centered individuals to join the FBJ Housekeeping Team as a Housekeeper. The individuals will provide basic housekeeping and custodial services throughout FBJ facilities including the Christian Life Center (CLC) and the church sanctuary. These services will be accomplished through being observant, respectful, motivated, thorough, and committed to providing church members, visitors, and staff with a clean, orderly place to worship and congregate.

Educational/Experience Qualifications for the position include:

  1. A High School Diploma or high school equivalency is required.
  2. Basic knowledge and understanding of proper cleaning methods required.
  3. Basic knowledge and understanding of proper safety procedures required.
  4. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. required.
  5. Flexibility to adjust work schedule to suit the needs of the church required.
  6. Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
  7. Previous custodial and housekeeping experience is preferred.

HVAC Maintenance Technician

First Baptist Jackson (FBJ) is looking for a ministry-focused, Christ-centered individual to join the FBJ Maintenance Team as an HVAC Maintenance Technician. The individual will provide skilled installation and maintenance services in the area(s) of HVAC and related systems and equipment. This individual will install, maintain, clean, adjust, and repair all HVAC systems and equipment for property owned by the Church. The individual must be skilled in HVAC as demonstrated by educational preparation and professional work experience(s).

Educational/Experience Qualifications for this position include:

  1. High school diploma or high school equivalency required.
  2. Career or technical educational training or apprenticeship required or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in HVAC-related employment.
  3. Possess extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
  4. Possess excellent problem-solving & analytical skills.
  5. Possess excellent mechanical skills.
  6. Ability to assist with and perform major and/or minor HVAC repairs.
  7. Ability to effectively receive and communicate oral and written instructions.
  8. Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems.
  9. Possess a valid Mississippi driver’s license.
  10. Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
