It is our prayer that you desire to be a part of what we’re doing here at First Baptist Jackson and give towards the missions and ministry budget for 2017. There are many ways to give your tithes and offerings. Whether you give in person or through our secure online portal, you can be assured that your offering is valuable and personal. We have a goal of $1,000,000 for July of this year.
Ways to Give
There are multiple places on our campus to contribute and one of the most prominent is in our Sunday morning worship service. You can place your offering in the offering plate when it is passed during the service.
You can mail any contributions to our church office at the following address:
First Baptist Jackson

If you prefer to give your tithes or offerings in person, our business office is open during the week from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Testimonies of Faithful Giving
When you give, all of your gift goes towards our $9,250,000 ministry and mission budget. Our mission is to Multiply Disciples to Live Like Jesus and it is our vision that we know and follow Jesus, provide ways for you to connect to Christ-centered community, invest in a few to reach many, and make a difference not only in Jackson but in our state and world.
These are a few ways that your gifts impact and change lives.
Dynamic and Multigenerational Worship
Our worship services are designed to meet people where they are to provide a channel for worship. Our worship ministry includes a scholarship program for college musicians, a clear and thorough presentation of the gospel through Carols by Candlelight, Easter Sunday, Thankful Christmas, and special programs like Let Freedom Ring. Our new Academy of Arts will serve our community as we raise up the next generation of worship leaders.
Every week our worship service is broadcast across Mississippi on television to thousands of homes and is streamed live to the world through our live stream platform and social media. Reaching the world through technology is central to our mission. Incorporating technology into our Sunday School classes, on the field with our missionaries, and interactively in our worship services will help us continue to change lives.
Engage Young Adults
First Baptist Jackson believes that our next generation of leaders will shape the future of not only our country, but our world. It is essential that we prepare young adults in our community by equipping them with Biblical teaching through mentoring. Providing a safe environment for young families is our goal through our preschool and children’s ministries. We want to provide full support for the thousands of college students in the metro-Jackson area and facilitate their spiritual growth; guiding them as they become young adults.
Build Biblical Homes
Disciple-making is a priority for First Jackson. It is important that we place focus on our student ministry, kids ministry, and high school ministries and provide facilities that support and cultivate spiritual growth. We support ministries that bring together families and adults of all ages onto our campus, such as Boy Scouts of America, WinShape Camp, and more, to provide an example to the outside world of what a Biblical home looks like. Growing all of our ministries with the desire to create Bible-based homes is imperative to our mission.
God calls men and women from all walks of life to lead, and we believe all of our ministries should be multigenerational in nature. We want to grow our women’s ministry and utilize First Groups as one means of fostering valuable relationships. From our Thankful Christmas celebration to Vacation Bible School, connecting generations is important while providing support for these ministries is essential.
Reach the Nations
Carrying the gospel to the ends of the earth is what we are commanded to do. Supporting our international community and our international ministries has been a priority of First Baptist Jackson for many years. We are consistently in the top tier of giving nationwide among Southern Baptist Churches and our reputation for leading and supporting our eight First Jackson missionary families is widely known. Next year we intend to expand our international mission trips by sending even more missionaries and families out to reach the nations for Christ.
We Love Jackson
As a church we partner with many local ministries, such as Buried Treasures Home and Mission First, and provide extensive support through our benevolence and bereavement ministries. We maintain a state-of-the art counseling center, Summit Counseling, that provides spiritual and emotional support to many in need as well as a fully-equipped fitness center for physical fitness. Our “We Love Jackson” events are one of the many ways we connect our church to our community. Being located downtown has given us the commitment to supporting our local missions at a unique level and we look forward to continuing our work in Jackson and around the world.
