As you think about those you will come in contact with this Christmas season and throughout 2023, consider taking some time to do three simple steps this Holiday season.

PRAY: Who is the one person God is prompting you to share the gospel with soon? If you don’t know, pray that God will show him or her to you. Pray for opportunities to build a relationship and for a chance to start those conversations. These may be online or in person.
INVITE: Christmas is an excellent season for Christ-centered events and activities that you can invite friends and family to join you. This Christmas Eve, invite your extended family and join us at 5:00 pm for our Christmas Eve Service before going home for your family traditions.

Joy!: Carols by Candlelight is a great opportunity to have a watch party online to share God’s love for every person. All four presentations will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube, so share the links and invite friends to join in watching. You can also share the links later, as another opportunity for conversation.

ENGAGE: Build the relationship and engage in gospel conversations. If you need additional resources, visit lifeonmissionbook.com to help find creative ways to explain your faith and have conversations. You can also give to Lottie Moon Christmas Offering or to the Mission First Christmas Store to help meet needs for those in Jackson or the missionaries serving around the world.

This year’s Christmas Store will take place on December 13. The purpose of this event is to help make Christmas morning extra special for the families involved in our programs by assisting the parents in providing gifts for their children. Our hope is that in turn they will experience the love of Christ and recognize Him as Savior and Provider. All gifts received should be new.

To make this event possible, Mission First is asking for your help by providing items listed below, or donating money the Mission First staff can use to purchase items for the Christmas Store. These items would need to be delivered by December 11.

• Books: story books, Adventure Bibles, devotional books for children
• Boys toys: action figures, Legos, remote control cars
• Girls toys: play jewelry, purses, hair clips, African American dolls
• Stuffed animals
• Paint-by-number books, beading, sketch pads, sticker books, coloring books
• Puzzles
• Board games: Candyland, Monopoly, Monopoly Jr., Chutes & Ladders, Sorry, Memory, ABC Bingo, Color Bingo, Number Bingo, Matching games
• Card games – UNO, Old Maid, Go Fish
• Sports balls – basketballs, soccer balls, footballs
• Financial Donations made payable to Mission First, Inc.
