Barnabas Team

Coming to the front of the Sanctuary during the response time of a service can be an intimidating experience for some people deciding to follow Jesus or to become a member. The Barnabas Team makes that process less scary and more friendly by meeting those who respond with a smile and encouragement (hence the name). After training and orientation, the commitment is about one hour every couple of months. This is one of the first steps in helping new members connect to the church quickly.

Online Church Counseling and Prayer Team

At the end of every service, there is a phone number for those watching the service on TV or online to call and ask for prayer or to respond to the message they have heard. The members of this team are those who are available week to week to respond and pray or listen. Our system allows us to do this ministry onsite or remotely. This is a great opportunity to lovingly. Help and walk with people.

Ministry Response Team – Sunday Benevolence Needs

This is a team of members specifically chosen to be available during worship times to have initial conversations with quests with special circumstances or needs if a minister is not readily available. The purpose is to listen, understand the need, and encourage the guest until a minister can arrive to move the conversation forward.

Sunday Coffee Team

If you like coffee and want to serve your fellow church members, our Crossover Coffee Team would love to talk with you about joining them on Sunday Mornings to help prepare and serve coffee in the CLC.

Bereavement Team

This important team of members is a group that helps bless members of our church during times of great loss. Their primary ministry is to serve these families during funeral services and visitations by providing lunches to the families. If this mercy ministry interests you, the team would welcome the opportunity to share it with you.

Caregiver Connection Team

Once a month, this support group, made up of people who are providing long-term care to family and loved ones, gathers to share, encourage, and draw strength from each other. If you find yourself in a caregiving role or would like to help minister to those in that role, let us know. You are welcome to be a part of this support ministry.

Visiting Ministries

Through our deacons, there are opportunities to encourage a large part of our church body. These ministries focus on visiting members who are ill and hospitalized each week and visiting our older members who have limited mobility to come to the normal worship services. These are vital ministries that offer practical opportunities to serve the Body. Please ask us if you want to know How you can be involved.

Practical Hands-on Service

There is a continual need and opportunity for individuals open to helping other church members with practical help such as lawn care, tree limb renewal, simple house repairs and upkeep, errands, and others. If this area interests you, please let us know.
