MUSIC & WORSHIP
The worship services at First Baptist Jackson provide spiritual direction, guidance and oversight to the worship life of our church. The Music Ministry plays a vital role in these worship experiences. More than 1,100 church members, ages three through Senior Adults sing, play instruments, ring handbells, and lead choirs and ensembles.
Worship services are broadcast locally and nationally. Special programs such as “Carols by Candlelight” at Christmas, “The Wonder of Easter”, “Let Freedom Ring” and special musical guests serve as bridge events to the Jackson Metropolitan area as well as provide a musical offering of Christ’s love to our TV audience in Mississippi and across the United States.
Worship Choir & Orchestra
There is a place for you in the Worship Choir and Orchestra. These groups play key roles in leading our congregation in praise and worship each Sunday morning. They also present special worship and evangelistic concerts throughout the year. See below for Choir and Orchestra rehearsal times.
Academy of Arts
The First Baptist Jackson Academy of Arts was established as a way to reclaim the arts for Christ. Instruction in all forms of art available.
You are invited to be a part of this unique choir with ministry at its heart.
