Follow the Light

Look, Seek, See, all words the Bible uses to get us to hunt out what God wants us to know. However, what about Go, Tell, Speak; they are in the Bible also. Can we be wise men and go where Jesus leads? Jesus said to leave everything and follow Him. The wisemen saw, followed, and met Jesus face to face. Can we do no less?

Wise is the man who follows the heavenly light
Into the Word that was and is and ever will be.
A baby’s birth can guide you into spiritual sight
Where transforming love is a gift to you and me.
The blood red reflections of heavenly star bright
Can show where the babe in a manger sleeps.
As holy angels sing, Glory to God in the heights,
Telling us to lay our gifts at our baby Savior’s feet.
You can now be the light that shows the way right
For lost pilgrims to follow and their savior meet.
To rejoice in great wonder and exceeding might
For the Bright Morning Star is in our heart to keep.

“…And behold, the star . . . went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.” Matthew 2:9-10. (Psalm 32:8)

Merciful God, ever lead us in the way we should go, may we always follow your well-lit path daily, to the glory of Jesus the Christ. Amen
