Disciple making and discipleship are essential to the Christian life (Matthew 28:18-20). Believers in Jesus are to be life-long disciples committed to continually growing in their knowledge and love for the Lord. (Matthew 4:19-20; Matthew 22:34-40). Jesus’ primary model for growing disciples was through intentional relationships. (Mark 1:17; Matthew 16:24; 2 Timothy 2:2).
