Ranging from ages 40–60 with children ages 9–30, we are a diverse group of adults who enjoy learning, praying, and serving as we share life together.
Peek Into Our Group…
What Makes Us Unique
We teach Lifeway’s Bible Book Study and though we give the history, customs, and background of the text, we also make it applicable. Roland teaches, but it is also discussion based. Comments and opinions are welcomed and valued. We are very mission-minded and always look for a project or someone in need. We take food to those that are sick or disabled. We have a function about once a month, and promote all the activities at the church.
Prayer is also key to our class. We are a group of Prayer Warriors, and all our class members know it. We are constantly sending around Prayer Requests, and answers – because we KNOW God answers! We have seen miracles through our prayers!
What We Study on Sunday Mornings
We do in-depth study of the Bible Book materials from Lifeway, with additional study materials, commentaries, etc.
Outside of Class
We meet for lunch at a local restaurant after church about every other month. We have a Christmas Party, Super Bowl party, Fish Fry in the spring, meet at the First Baptist Jackson Fourth of July program, go to plays at New Stage, and have had a weekend in New Orleans two times.
We love to serve! We have bought clothes, appliances, and necessities for two different families whose homes have burned, given gift cards to a single mother with three kids and two jobs, given boxes of supplies to State Hospital for Christmas gifts, collected money for furniture/toys/Christmas gifts for several needy families, and have paid bills – anonymously – for church members.
