Anxiety is described as an inner feeling of apprehension, uneasiness, concern, worry and/or dread that is accompanied by heightened physical arousal.

Some of the causes of anxiety are threats, conflicts, fear, unmet needs, physiology and individual differences. There are behaviors and physical symptoms associated with anxiety.

Symptoms of Anxiety

Being hyper-alert
Worrying a lot
Talking too much
Impaired concentration
Excessive perspiration
Muscle tension
Quivering voice
Constric on of head, neck and chest
Impaired memory
Sleeping poorly
Being overly dependent
Holding oneself very tense
Feeling uncertain
Impaired reasoning
Stomach problems
Increased heart rate
Increased blood pressure
Skin rashes
Shortness of breath
Urinary frequency or pain

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1Peter 5:7)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
