Jackson, MS, May 27, 2018 – First Baptist Jackson is remembering the men and women who lost their lives serving our country in the military today as part of their morning worship service, and they’re also doing something else as soon as the service is over.

First Baptist Jackson is hosting the first annual Picnic in the Park event. Food trucks will line the park and as worshippers exit from First Baptist, Galloway, St. Peters, and St. Andrews they’ll be met with the smell of delicious food and fellowship.

It’s a great way to celebrate the newly renovated Smith Park and it’s a great reminder that downtown Jackson is alive on Sunday mornings with thousands of people attending worship from many denominations within a few blocks of each other.

The public is invited to come out and join from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Smith Park in Downtown Jackson.
