First Baptist Jackson Responds to Resignation of Former Interim Pastor

Jackson, MS, March 28, 2018 – Today, First Baptist Church of Jackson, Mississippi, issued the following statement concerning the resignation of Dr. Frank Page, President and CEO of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee. Dr. Page was the Interim Pastor of First Baptist Jackson from 2011 – 2013.

“We were saddened to learn of Dr. Frank Page’s resignation and the reasons surrounding that announcement. Dr. Page has done much to help and lead Southern Baptists over the years. He has been a friend and supporter of First Baptist Jackson as well, having served as an interim pastor 2011 – 2013.

“First Baptist Jackson joins together with many others in earnest prayer not only for Dr. Page and his family but all those affected by this situation, including Dr. Rummage and other Southern Baptist leaders as they begin the search process to identify a new president and CEO of the SBC Executive Committee.”
