WinShape Camp Comes to First Baptist Jackson

Jackson, MS, August 2, 2017 – A nationally known camp, WinShape Camp, has set up shop this week in downtown Jackson at First Baptist Church Jackson.  Established in 1985 in Mt. Berry, Ga., WinShape provides a camp experience that enables campers to sharpen their character, deepen their Christian faith and grow in their relationships with others. WinShape hosts camps all over the county and even internationally in Brazil, but this week they’re in Jackson for their final stop of the season.

More than 180 campers this week are participating in this high-energy camp that includes activities such as games, sports like soccer, skill tests, team building exercises, relationship building, worship, and fellowship.

The WinShape camp is operating by college students who work as counselors during the summer.  College students see WinShape as an opportunity to serve their community and to have an impact on kids.

About WinShape

WinShape was created by Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy and his wife Jeannette because they believed there are limitless possibilities when you invest in the lives of the next generation. That’s why they created the WinShape Foundation that is based on the principles of service, hospitality, family-friendliness, and excellence. WinShape Camps partners with Chick-fil-As around the country to bring camp to their communities like Jackson. Thanks to Truett Cathy, at the core of WinShape Camps there exists a relentless pursuit to provide an experience that transforms campers and families.
