“We Love Jackson”, First Baptist Jackson Shows the Community What It Means to Make a Difference

Jackson, MS, April 23, 2017 – Dr. Matt Brooks, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Jackson, shared with the congregation in this morning’s worship service what it means to make a difference in people’s lives.  He told the congregation and the viewers online this morning that “we were made to make a difference.  Jesus is the example for us to follow in that His life of selflessly and sacrificially regarding others as more important is the model for our life.”

This afternoon, more than 200 members of First Baptist Jackson will spread across the Jackson-metro area to work with ministry partners on various projects.

The project locations include:


  • Preparing ‘We Care Boxes’ to communities in West Jackson. The distribution center is City Church, 1910 W McDowell Rd, Jackson, MS 39204
  • Facility improvements at City Church, 1910 W McDowell Rd, Jackson, MS 39204
  • Facility upgrades and maintenance at the Center for Pregnancy Choices, 114 Office Park Plaza, Ste A, Jackson, MS 39206
  • Facility maintenance at Hope House, 786 E Northside Dr, Jackson, MS 39206
  • Prayer and family interaction at Royal House in Jackson
  • Painting and a cookout at Mustard Seed, 1085 Luckney Road, Brandon, MS 39047
  • Ministry Facility Care at Buried Treasures Home, (601) 371-9835
  • Ministry Preparation and Worship for We Will Go Ministries, 799 N Congress St, Jackson, MS 39202

Church members will be working on the projects at these locations between 3:00 and 6:00 this afternoon.
