First Groups

Disciple making and discipleship are essential to the Christian life (Matthew 28:18-20). Believers in Jesus are to be life-long disciples committed to continually growing in their knowledge and love for the Lord. (Matthew 4:19-20; Matthew 22:34-40). Jesus’ primary model for growing disciples was through intentional relationships. (Mark 1:17; Matthew 16:24; 2 Timothy 2:2). First Jackson desires to Multiply Disciples To Live Like Jesus and a primary way to do that is through First Groups.

First Groups consist of simple, multiplying, relational groups of 3 to 5 people who, facilitated by a disciple maker:

  • Daily pray, read and memorize Scripture, obey, and reflect on daily Bible Study.
  • Meet weekly for honest, confidential, encouraging, and transparent conversations revolved around the Bible and living out your faith.
  • Monthly share and show the Gospel together outside of First Jackson.
  • Multiply by launching new First Groups every 3 – 18 months.
